We went polar on this one – we literally couldn’t decide between 0 reels or 5.  One the one hand we think they’re perfect for each other and let’s face it – no one else is going to put up with them.  But on the other hand – as much as we might have hated it, we have to agree with the ending.  As perfect as they are there is no way they are going to be able to stay together.   We don’t think either of them will ever meet anyone else that they feel as strongly about, and neither will be willing to risk their hearts on that kind of passion again.  We definitely don’t see Rhett remarrying anyone else – we simply can’t imagine him in another relationship.  But that still doesn’t mean that they’ll get back together.  She might marry some rich old guy that she can control but not for a while.  She’ll become a grande dame, raise her kids, and spend the rest of her fertile years pining for Rhett the way she used to pine for Ashley.

Maybe they’ll re-connect years later when they’ve both mellowed a bit but by then he’ll be entrenched in his bachelorhood and won’t want to give it up.  At best they’ll have to settle for the occasional late-night visit, although we don’t know if FWB’s existed back then.

We’ll have go to with 0, unless in your mind emotionally faithful is enough to rate a 5.

Sidebar: Scarlett & Ashley?  We say as God is our witness she’ll never want Ashley again.  And if she is dumb enough to marry him out of some crazy sense of loyalty he’ll be dead in a week.
