Truthfully, if we were Sam and we found out how much trouble Annie had gone to to track him down we’d probably get a restraining order and then move out of state, not necessarily in that order.  But we’ll put that aside for the moment. 

Considering that they only met in the last 5 minutes of the movie it’s hard to get a real gauge on these two although they did manage to convey a pretty good level of attraction in those 5 minutes.  We can definitely see them dating for a while.  The fact that they’re both GU doesn’t really bother us – she’ll move 3000 miles west in a heartbeat be with her man.  What is keeping us from awarding them the full 5 reels is her persistent perkiness.  Sam is a pretty practical, no-nonsense type of guy and after the quiet classiness of his beloved wife, we’re guessing he might find Annie a little too precious for words.  When she shuts up she’s great, but it won’t be long before she’s once again talking to herself, choking up over radio talk shows, and displaying the same corny exuberance that she did with Walter.  Add the excessive laughter and she’s really only a few tweaks away from becoming Victoria.  Nevertheless she is attractive, warm and affectionate, and Jonah loves her, so they are not without potential. 

We don’t see them as The Reel Thing, but we can wish them well.
